Greetings From Necker Island

Greetings from Necker Island is an unbound artists' book that documents the adventures of Winston and Bosley—two puppets who have managed to sneak their way onto Sir Richard Branson’s private island. The story is narrated by Bosley, who tells the tale of a job opening on LinkedIn posted by Branson, co-founder of the Virgin Group Ltd. In the book, G.Raff has flown to Necker Island and is offered the job, but is totally unaware that Winston and Bosley have used her companion, Stegosaurus, as a Trojan Horse.

 

The narrative of this artists' book closely follows the plot of Sir Richard Branson’s Coconuts, a video I made in response to Branson's actual LinkedIn job posting. The job posting requested each hopeful candidate apply, not with a typical cover letter and resume, but with a personalized video, sharing qualifications and reasons for applying. So, I applied to the job with a two-minute puppet video, and surprisingly did not receive a response!
